These HR/NHEJ kits are cell based, meaning they have the HR or NHEJ GFP reporters pre-installed. A single plasmid (I-Sce1) is transfected to activate repair. Please see this table for a summary and comparison/application of each kit.
Homologous GFP Repair Systems
HeLa Cell HR Kit (I-Sce1 Based)

Human Neuroblastoma Cell Line SH-SY5Y using (I-Sce1 transfection)
Mouse 3T3 Cell Line using I-Sce1 transfection
Mouse Neuronal Cell Line using I-Sce1 transfection
Custom construction Kit to make your own HR Cell Reporter
NHEJ GFP Reporter
Systems
Transfection-based HR and NHEJ kits use transient transfections to make a pool of cells containing the DNA reporters to allow the investigator to interrogate the 2 major DNA repair pathways. The advantages are:

This monoclonal antibody was raised to human topo I (TG2005H-RC1) using standard methods. The antibody (IgG class) works very well for Western blotting experiments. The epitope has not been mapped. This product has not been tested for IP or IF applications; however, given the high specificity seen on Westerns, it should work well in these applications.

TG2012 | Some scleroderma patients produce high titer antibody directed against human topoisomerase I (Shero et al., 1986). The immunoglobulin fraction was purified from these patients and shown to react specifically with the 100 kDa form of Topo I using Western blotting. The immune complexes produced with this reagent will bind [125I]-protein A. When intact topoisomerase I is used, a single polypeptide of 100 kDa was detected; however, sub-bands produced by proteolysis will also bind this reagent, as expected. The antibody is particularly useful as a Western blotting probe and can be used at high dilutions (>1:5,000). Cross reactivity of this antibody… Read more | $355.00 Max: Min: 1 Step: 1 Add to Cart | |
TG2012-2 |
Antibody was raised to human topo I (purified from placenta) using New Zealand White rabbits. Serum was collected and processed using standard methods. The antibody can be used in Western blotting. Cross reactivity of this antibody with other species has not yet been tested. It is important to note that human topoisomerase I undergoes spontaneous degradation especially with repeat freezing/thawing. The activity of the enzyme is not affected significantly; however, sub-bands may be detectable in Western blotting experiments.
